A quick reminder for you to be Happy this Monday morning. I’m sharing this song with you. “I Saw the Light,” written by Hank Williams, is an ode to accepting Jesus as his savior.
Today’s version is sung by Merle Haggard. Many other artists sing it, but this one stuck out to me. I hope you enjoy it.
If you have Jesus, you have everything.
Being in Christ is the safest and happiest place to be. If needed, could you give it some thought and Talk to Dad?
I wandered so aimless, life filled with sin
I wouldn't let my dear Savior in
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
Just like a blind man, I wandered along
Worries and fears I claimed for my own
Then like the blind man that God gave back his sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
Chorus
I was a fool to wander and stray
For straight is the gate and narrow's the way
Now I have traded the wrong for the right
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
Till next time,
Cheryl, The Happy Christian
Talk to Dad.
